Our opening session will focus on Pan-London health districts and how London is leading the charge in healthcare innovation. This discussion will explore how London’s health ecosystems are redefining models of care, accelerating digital and life sciences innovation, and creating environments that connect research, clinical excellence, and healthcare delivery.

We are delighted to welcome an exceptional panel of leaders whose work spans the full spectrum of London’s healthcare ecosystem:

  • Caroline Clarke, NHS London Regional Director, provides a system-level perspective on how London’s health districts are coordinated, driving collaborative care and integrated services across the capital.
  • Professor Bob Klaber OBE, Consultant General Paediatrician and Director of Strategy, Research and Innovation at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, brings the operational and clinical viewpoint, showing how innovation and strategy are implemented at hospital and trust level to improve patient care.
  • Professor Geraint Rees, University College London (UCL) Vice-Provost (Research, Innovation & Global Engagement), offers the academic and research perspective, highlighting how London’s universities and life sciences sector contribute to cutting-edge clinical innovation.

Together, they illustrate how London’s health ecosystem works as a connected network – from policy and system-level strategy (NHS), through operational delivery and innovation (Imperial), to research and academic insight (UCL) – positioning the capital as a global leader in healthcare transformation.
