Our next Executive Briefing is a breakfast roundtable event, hosted jointly by the International Federation of Health Plans (IFHP) – exploring shared responsibility, digital pathways, and collaborating for better patient outcomes.

The discussion will focus on:

  • how payers and providers can coordinate around the full patient journey
  • how shared data and digitally enabled pathways can support earlier intervention, reduce duplication, and improve continuity
  • how aligned incentives and clearer accountability can strengthen trust, improve outcomes, and support more sustainable models of care
  • what “shared responsibility” for patient outcomes looks like in practice, and what it requires from both payer and provider leadership

This roundtable brings together CEOs from healthcare providers and leading health insurance organisations.

Digital tools, remote monitoring, preventative services, and new access points to clinical advice are accelerating this change. Yet many of these developments are moving faster than existing payer–provider models were designed to accommodate. As a result, payers and providers often find themselves working in parallel rather than in partnership, with fragmented pathways, inconsistent information flows, and missed opportunities to intervene earlier or coordinate care more effectively.

They will be exploring where interests are already aligned, and where closer collaboration could deliver measurable improvements in outcomes, experience and sustainability.
